Major Objectives of Project are the following:-
1.Tele Education and Tele Health care Services
2.Access to space based information on land,water,soil etc.
3.Advisories on agriculture,land and water management.
4.Providing Enhanced Livelihood Opportunities
5.Providing Information on Price,Market ,Pests,disease,livestock,govt.schemes,job opportunities,e-governance related information etc.
6.Empower rural people such as women groups,farmers ,labouers,punchayat functionaries.
7.Act as a source of information for local level planning
8.Citizen Service Delivery
9.Providing Technologies available within the Research centres
10.Act as a source of available Planting Materials
11.Market Outlet for high value Products
12.Act as a service centre for soil Testing
13.Meteriological information Centre.
The Service of Village/Community Resource Centre will help in
1.Improved Agricultural Planning
2.Rural and Agricultural Education
3.Developing improved opportunities for Farmers
4.Improving Rural Governance
5.Improved Knowledge Base
Role and Responsibilities of District Coordinators
1.Arrangement of Daily Programmes
2.Coordination with various agencies including ISRO
3.Interacion with District level Officers and other Resource persons
4.Interaction with VRC Project fellows and Experts in the expert centres
5.Arrangement for the transport of Soil Samples for Analysis
6.Coordination for other services visualized.
7.Preparation of Two Months advance programmes on a daily basis.
8.Constitution of a district level committee for the project.
9.Identification of a contact person in each department or agency for organizing programmes.
Role and Responsibilities of VRC Coordinators
1.Participatory Rural appraisal in the locality for information requirement in the locality.(Visit nearby Krishi bhavans,Vet Hospitals, Panchayats,discussion with people,Selected Farmers)
2.Daily Management of the centres.
3.Arrangement of training programmes as directed by District Coordinator
4.Collection of Soil Samples for analysis from Farmers.
5.Arrangement for Tele-Agriculture.
6.Constitution of a Panchayat level Committee
7.Building a local database like contact numbers of various offices, Panchayats, Key resource persons, Key Farmers ,other functionaries,local databases like land use ,crop production,projects of panchayats , data requirement etc.
EduSat Communication network is a new form of informal education with the help of Satellite, named EduSat (Education Satellite) This satellite is fully dedicated for Educational purpose in our country. It is on 2004 September 20th the satellite was launched in space by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). It has a C- band national beam, a Ku bank National beam and Five Ku Band regional beams. It intends to promote all types of education in our country and distribute education to the people of all walks of life.
